Our trainers are diligent and professional; some have been with us for 20 years! We deliver courses all across the UK and all of our trainers are specialists in First Aid.
Many of our courses can be delivered using blending learning techniques. Research has proven that blended learning helps the learner. All blended courses are also accessible for a period of time online for you to refresh your skills after you finish the practical course.
The practical courses are completed after you have finished the online training; once you attend the classroom element of the course you will be issued your full certificate. An example of a popular course is below: - 12 Hour Paediatric Course. You book the 12 Hour course; you will be emailed a unique login and password to our e-Learning portal where you then complete the 6 Hours online training, when this is complete and passed you attend the classroom course to gain the full 12 Hour qualification.
Yes all delegates are given a training manual to use on the course and take away with them. We do not charge you extra for this.
No problem, just call or email the office on 0333 577 9500 or info@firstaidtrainingbristol.com and we will arrange the course for you on a date of your choosing.
Yes, our courses and instructors are accredited by a governing body. All instructors conduct CPD and have to take an annual assessment. We regularly monitor and assess our trainers and courses to ensure that we are delivering the highest standard of training.
The majority of First Aid Training is validated for 3 years. We offer, which is a recommendation of the HSE annual refresher training. This can be easily booked online.
Yes, most of our courses are available to book on a weekend. If you are a company and require training at the weekend this is no problem either. Please just let us know; we are very flexible.
The requirements for testing are set for us and some courses do require assessments. A practical assessment will be required for all courses and a written assessment is required for our First Aid at Work course. Some of the eLearning also has an online assessment to complete. Please don't be concerned, you will be supported all the way through this process. If you are worried about assessments please call the office to discuss this further, all our trainers will support you every step of the way.
We offer many e-Learning courses which are conducted online in the comfort of your own home. All courses count towards to continuous personal development (CPD) training. On completion all courses have the ability to print an e-Certificate.
Certificates have to be ordered on completion of the course from our governing body. On the day, before the course begins you will be asked your full name as you wish it to appear on the certificate and your postal address. Certificates normally take around 10 working days to reach you.
All our certificates are sent by post. If you have lost your certificate and need a replacement please call our office team who will arrange a replacement for you. Please note there is an £8 charge for a replacement certificate.
This unfortunately happens from time to time. The postal system now and then lets us down. If for any reason your certificate does not arrived within 15 working days please call our office and we will issue you a new certificate immediately by first class mail.
We can issue you with a temporary certificate for Ofsted while you wait for your certificate to arrive. Please call the office if you need this service.
Most Practical Course starts at 10am and finishes at approximately 5pm. If you wish to change the start and finish time please let the office know. If it is at your premises we can start anytime you wish.
You should wear casual and comfortable clothes for the course – remember you may be on the floor practicing First Aid. We would recommend you bring some lunch however, tea and coffee, where available is provided as part of the course.
There are plenty of breaks during the course. You will be given drink breaks and a lunch break. No one can spend all day in the classroom without a break!
Unfortunately not as this can cause disruption to the group – it may also mean that you won’t be able to give 100% focus to the training.
We believe you have paid enough for your course and do not like additional costs to delegates. If we feel it should be taught on the course then it will be included. Other organisations will charge you extra for this; we don’t feel this is fair.
Our courses are restricted to 12 delegates. If for whatever reason you cannot attend a course you have booked please call or email the office. As long as you give us 48 hours’ notice we will move you to another course free of charge.
